The Information Technology (IT) department plays a pivotal role in accelerating the company’s success by partnering with stakeholders to understand their work, challenges, and needs, then help deliver and keep digital solutions performing well.

What will the work look like for me?

We are seeking a sharp, highly articulate IT Business analyst who excels at bridging the divide between business vision and technical execution. The ideal candidate is a master communicator – equally comfortable in writing precise technical documentation, leading dynamic discovery sessions with business leaders, and aligning multi-disciplinary teams around project goals. This role requires proficiency in authoring and managing requirements, solution design, and process improvement, coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills to collaborate successfully across various business and technology teams.

What would I do?

As an IT Business Analyst, your work would focus on the following:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document detailed current state business process maps, highlighting challenges and needed improvements, along with informational future state maps.
  • Apply systems thinking and a curious mindset to make strong connections across system(s) and existing processes to identify impact when evaluating user requests and proposed technical solutions.
  • Convert data into a usable, organized, and understandable format to communicate analytical results.
  • Develop an ongoing and sustainable relationship with business users, while driving consensus around key decisions that enable effective solutioning efforts.
  • Synthesize information and apply meticulous attention to detail to succinctly articulate robust and detailed functional requirements, that address both the obvious and obscure needs of business partners, while removing ambiguity in development cycles.
  • Decompose requirements into user stories with Gherkin style Acceptance Criteria in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Act as a reliable, responsive member within a cross functional team that leads processes, drives deliverables and follow-up action, ensuring risks are surfaced, and gaps are closed.
  • Provide timely and accurate comparisons of current and future state to inform and enable stakeholders to complete effective test planning and change management.
  • Regularly provides reliable estimates, and conveys appropriate details related to assigned work, accurately representing progress, challenges, and steps ahead.
  • Remain open and receptive to giving and receiving feedback, intended to promote growth and continuous improvement.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
