This position is part of the finance/accounting department team at Daktronics. The finance/accounting team serves Daktronics stakeholders – employees, customers, vendors, shareholders, and community. Our work is focused on enabling Daktronics’ success by being trusted advisors, guiding, or supporting company compliance and risk management efforts, being operationally excellent, and developing ourselves and the team. 

We are seeking an Accountant with a Financial Analysis focus to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for an early‑career accounting professional who enjoys working with data, understanding business drivers, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities while building a strong accounting foundation. 

What will the work look like for me?

In this role, you will support financial reporting and analysis, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with partners across the organization to help turn financial data into meaningful insights. 

  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and management summaries. 
  • Perform variance analysis and identify trends in financial results. 
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes. 
  • Assist with month‑end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations. 
  • Analyze financial data to support business decisions and ad hoc requests. 
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance partners to ensure data accuracy. 

Where is this opportunity located? 

Daktronics offers the flexibility to work from a U.S. home or Daktronics location. This opportunity is open to U.S. based candidates. 

 

What are the pay and perks?

The typical hiring range for this position is $62,000 to $82,000 annually. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business is preferred. You will also need demonstrated experience in the areas listed below:   
  • One to three (1–3) years of relevant experience (including internships or co‑ops). 
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently or collaboratively on a team.   
  • Willingness and desire to learn and be flexible with an evolving workload. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial data. 
  • Interest in developing financial analysis and business partnering skills. 
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or FP&A work. 
  • Experience with ERP or financial reporting systems. 
  • Experience with reporting or data visualization tools. 
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in English, written and verbal.
