What will the work look like for me?

While this position is part of our IT (Information Technology) team, your primary focus will be to partner with our Services Division. Your role is to understand the needs of stakeholders, engage digital transformation leaders, and collaboratively determine how to best invest in technology solutions (IT products). You will lead and manage the product lifecycle of solutions, including product vision, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize value for stakeholders. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Exploring Markets and Users: Identify customer needs, industry trends, and competition through thorough research. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and technical teams, to ensure product success. 
  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. 
  • Backlog: Manage and prioritize the backlog and participate in planning events. 
  • Product Development: Partner with cross-functional teams in the design, development, and launch of new products and features. 
  • Deliver value: Leverage the continuous delivery pipeline to release value with higher velocity and predictability. 
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth product implementation. 
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings. 

Where is this opportunity located? 

This role is based in a remote office setting, with occasional travel to meet with technical teams and stakeholders. Standard working hours in the Central Time zone, some evening or weekend work during critical project phases or launches. 

 

What are the pay and perks?

The typical hiring range for this position is $100,000 to $135,000 based on the location of US Remote. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.

Qualifications

To be considered for IT Services Product Manager, we require the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in product management within technical and professional customer service. 
  • Must have technical experience working with Salesforce and Cisco. 
  • Must have experience engaging with strategic partners and building strong partner relationships. 
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software, such as Azure DevOps, Planview, Aha! and Agile methodologies. 
  • In-depth understanding of technical and professional customer service required. 
  • Proven ability to work with and motivate cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. 
  • Commitment to understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations. 
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with a focus on iterative product development. 
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver’s license. Must be able to meet and maintain Daktronics Qualified Driver status. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
