Daktronics employees receive stable shifts, competitive base pay, shift differentials, and an extensive benefits package.   

   

Shift:   

Monday-Thursday, 5:45am - 4:15pm; Friday, overtime as needed.  

  

The Electronic Assembly team is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of electronic components to the final assembly departments.  

 

Employees operate automated soldering equipment, component insertion equipment, conformal coating equipment, and general assembly duties with the location of assembly duties dependent upon the priorities.   

  • Training is provided to become fully qualified to operate machines in the factory.  
    • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, technical, and nontechnical documents to effectively perform work assigned.   
    • Learn the skill set and be able to practice with reasonable efficiency the skill of hand soldering.   
  • Work with supervisors, engineers, and process engineers to improve procedures processes and training methods.   
    • Assist with the development of training aids to improve processes quality and reduce cycle time.  
  • Perform any maintenance prescribed to be performed by the machine operator as needed.   
  • Be open and willing to train/operate on more than one machine.   
  • Be flexible to work outside the department if necessary.   
    • Train on assembly practices and tasks that pertain to all work cells in the plant.   
    • Attend formal training session as necessary to develop skill level and productivity.  
  • Once proficient as an operator, you may have the opportunity to develop into a training partner for new employees.  
  • Complete other duties as assigned to meet customer needs.  

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.  
  • Physical Requirements:  
    • Ability to operate hand tools.  
    • Ability to work around odors including solder, paint, solvent, or general manufacturing odor.  
    • Ability to frequently lift and carry of up to 35 lbs. In some areas, the ability occasionally to frequently lift and carry up to 45 lbs.    
    • The ability to stand for the full 10-hour shift with planned breaks. The duration of standing between breaks varies from 2 hours to 3 ½ hours depending on the work area.  
    • Must have steady hand-eye coordination in order to manipulate and place small components.  
    • The ability to work from heights, including working from ladders and platforms.  
    • The ability to reach in all directions (up, down, side-to-side, and diagonal reaching), including some awkward reaching insert components in difficult to reach sections of the product.  
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.  
  • Must be able to communicate in a team environment. Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team.  
  • Regularly and reliably work the scheduled shift. Must have the ability to work overtime on Friday(s) when scheduled.
