This position will work within our Contract Fulfillment Engineering group and will focus on tasks related to the electrical, mechanical, and structural design portion of the project. The technician will assist with creating drawings and documentation for a variety of purposes including the initial sales proposal, communication with customers, manufacturing, project management, and installation as well as external vendors and contractors. This area of engineering at Daktronics has office locations in Brookings and Sioux Falls with the opportunity to work remotely.
The technician would be trained on fundamental tasks before being cross trained to support the variety of work that flows through the group, supporting different types of projects. Design Technicians may move into other technician roles with the company such as in the manufacturing or service divisions.
We have a preference for this individual to reside near our corporate headquarters in South Dakota. Much of the work for this position can be done from a home office. A typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (CT), though hours may vary depending on business need.
