    Daktronics Services Training Development team works with various departments to produce repeatable training modules to on-board new employees and continually update staff on new technology. Assist with sharing technical knowledge between the engineering groups and Services to ensure that as new products are released with the information needed to successfully complete their job duties. We also create knowledge and videos for our external customers to support their products.


    Position located in Brookings, South Dakota. Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a fulltime student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and at least 20 hours per week during the summer. 


    The Services Training Support Student will gain experience:


    • Communicating professionally via email/IM/phone.
    • Working in Microsoft Office products, Camtasia, SharePoint .
    • Developing and editing documentation.
    • Creating and editing videos and tutorial scripts.
    • Corporate training to include:
      • Learning how to develop and edit documents
      • Learning how to set up equipment for training
      • Learning how to support onsite training
      • Shoot and edit Video to create and/or edit video/tutorial scripts
    • Networking
    • Utilizing technical tools to conduct training sessions including software such as Captivate, Adobe Connect, Bomgar, Premier Pro, camera setup and testing, etc.
    • Develop an understanding of Daktronics Systems and terminology.


    • The ideal candidate must be a fulltime student pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in one of the following degrees: Business, Computer Science, Consumer Affairs, Economics, Graphic Design, Education, Marketing, Broadcast Production or related field and in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of school. Only strong performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered. Must maintain an acceptable GPA.
    • Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate clearly and promptly with group members on interactions with customers, project status, and accomplishments.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Computer knowledge including proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, primarily Word, Excel, SharePoint.
    • Be able to regularly and reliably work scheduled hours and maintain good attendance.
    • Follow company guidelines and policies.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Willingness to learn Daktronics systems and computer software.
    • Background check may be conducted.
    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
