  • Responsibilities

    Every day, in nearly 100 countries around the world, millions of people depend on Daktronics scoring and display systems for information and entertainment. Our displays provide vital travel information in airports and train stations and along highways. They advertise the price of gas, store specials, and more as you make your daily commute. They also enhance spectators’ experiences at sporting events of all kinds, from Little League to the major leagues.

     

    As a feeder department Corporate Electronic Assembly Department is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of electronic component assemblies to the final assembly departments.

     

    The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Friday from 5:45am - 4:15pm.

     

    Maintenance

    • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on automated equipment on a scheduled basis.
    • Make emergency repairs to automated manufacturing equipment including electrical mechanical and pneumatic systems.
    • Train machine operators and other maintenance personnel to perform maintenance tasks.
    • Communicate effectively over the phone to repair equipment.
    • Flexible hours to ensure full operation of equipment for all shifts.
    • Evaluate and improve existing PM programs. 

    Operations

    • Operate automated equipment.
    • Input information into work orders on the details of the work performed on equipment.
    • Help evaluate new equipment purchases.
    • Evaluate new materials.
    • Maintain spare parts inventory.  Order and inventory needed parts.
    • Maintain maintenance records including procedures, parts and labor.
    • Make and implement suggestions for product and process improvement.
    • Some travel required for required training.
    • Perform other duties as assigned and as needed to meet customer expectations and to have equipment operating with no unplanned downtime.

    Qualifications

    • Associates degree in Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field preferred. Will also consider a current Daktronics employee pursuing their Associates degree with production experience. 
    • Good communication skills.  Fluent in English written and verbal.
    • Manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Computer keyboard skills experience with Microsoft office products.  Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to organize work load and prioritize work orders according to company plan.
    • Work effectively as a team member work with little supervision.
    • Ability to distinguish and identify wire colors.
    • Be able to lift and carry heavy (up to 50 pounds) and/or awkward items.
    • Able to work with your hands; stand and/or sit for the full shift.
    • Ability to read fine print with or without corrective lenses.
    • Be able to work with some odors.
    • Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards.  Items may include the following safety glasses safety shoes/boots hearing protection electrostatic discharge wear and others as determined necessary by Daktronics Risk and Safety Department.
    • Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver’s license and good driving record.  Motor vehicle record will be checked. 
    • Background check will be conducted.
