Every day, in nearly 100 countries around the world, millions of people depend on Daktronics scoring and display systems for information and entertainment. Our displays provide vital travel information in airports and train stations and along highways. They advertise the price of gas, store specials, and more as you make your daily commute. They also enhance spectators’ experiences at sporting events of all kinds, from Little League to the major leagues.

The estimating role has historically been part of the Project Manager’s responsibilities for Standard Orders. In an effort to realign the work and allow for more efficient work flow, we have established the Estimator role. The Estimator will be a key position within the High Consistency Value Stream, allowing the Standard Order Project Manager to focus on the Project details, while the Estimator focuses on the up-front sales process, setting the project up for success through competitive, comprehensive pricing efforts.

The Estimator role will be responsible for the following:

    • Prepare/develop competitive installation pricing/budget for Standard Order.
    • Identify labor, material, and time requirements for installation pricing by reviewing proposals, plans, specifications, RFP, and related documents.
    • Provide technical sales support/guidance, with respect to installation pricing for Standard Order opportunities.

    • Evaluate market niches/regions for installation gaps and recommend strategies for filling gaps.
    • Assist customers and internal teams with technical installation questions as it relates estimating/pricing.

    • Complete projects with quality work in a timely manner.
    • Prepare and maintain a directory of Suppliers and Subcontractors.
    • Will travel up to 10% of the time to build relationships with key installation companies and support Sales/Project Managers.
