    Every day, in nearly 100 countries around the world, millions of people depend on Daktronics scoring and display systems for information and entertainment. Our displays provide vital travel information in airports and train stations and along highways. They advertise the price of gas, store specials, and more as you make your daily commute. They also enhance spectators’ experiences at sporting events of all kinds, from Little League to the major leagues.


    Position located in Brookings, South Dakota. Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a full-time student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and at least 20 hours per week during the summer.


    This position is will provide administrative and technical support of quality systems, with a focus on Supplier Quality and Daktronics' Factories.

    • Assist the Supplier Quality group in gathering process data of supplier components or parts that have issues.
    • Perform measure activites which requires visual touch involving visual activity and fine motor skills.
    • Support Supplier Quality activities, including the evaluation of components and assemblies for first articles and continuous improvement.
    • Assist Supplier Quality group in data management of supplier performance by timely standard work.
    • Organize data and develop reports to support Supplier Quality needs.
    • Provide support for factory for data collection and quality functions as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet company goals and/or customer expectations.
    • Attention to detail and professionalism in email communication with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to learn basic statistical applications and analysis.


    Academic -

    • Education Requirements: The ideal candidate must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related degree and in their sophomore, junior or senior year of school. Will also consider Math or Operations Management majors. Only strong performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered.
    • Student must maintain an acceptable GPA.
    • Unofficial or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this position.

    Other -

    • Daktronics experience preferred.
    • Computer software experience to include AutoCAD, with Creo preferred but not required.
    • Good communication skills. Fluent in English; written and verbal.
    • Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team.
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
    • Ability to learn quickly.
    • Physical Requirements include the ability to:
      • lift and carry up to 45 pounds;
      • distinguish and identify wire colors;
      • ability to work with odors (solder/coating).
    • Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
    • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment
    • Background check may be conducted.
