  • Responsibilities

    Every day, in nearly 100 countries around the world, millions of people depend on Daktronics scoring and display systems for information and entertainment. Our displays provide vital travel information in airports and train stations and along highways. They advertise the price of gas, store specials, and more as you make your daily commute. They also enhance spectators’ experiences at sporting events of all kinds, from Little League to the major leagues.

     

    This position will focus on assisting electrical design within the Sports Products Engineering Department but will coordinate efforts with other markets to utilize platform product setups.

     

    • Assist with completing electrical designs for sales orders and contract jobs for individual products as well as integrated systems.
    • Produce documentation for site specific installations, for manufacturing production lines and installation tasks utilizing AutoCAD and Windchill/Creo.
    • Work effectively both independently and as a team member.
    • Contribute to product and process improvement efforts.
    • Communicate effectively with team members.
    • Consistently complete work in a timely manner.
    • Perform other duties as assigned and required to meet customer and development expectations.
    • Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures along with other company products
    • Strive for personal growth and continued increase in contribution to the team environment.

    Qualifications

    Academic Requirements -

    • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or bachelor’s degree in other engineering field with electronics experience required.
    • Strong GPA preferred, or showing continued improvement in GPA. Must maintain an acceptable GPA Dedication and desire for quality performance.
    • Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this position.

    Other Requirements -

    • Daktronics experience and product knowledge valued.  Ability to learn product and system details and communicate effectively with internal and external customers required.
    • Ability to learn Daktronics computer systems and software.  Prior experience with Pro/E, AutoCAD, Glovia, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point), and SharePoint is valued.
    • Must be detail oriented, have the ability to perform research and develop new products and processes. Organizational, planning, and creative problem-solving skills also desired.
    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
    • Background check may be conducted.
