At Daktronics, our Personnel department focuses on developing employees and supervisors through recruiting, hiring, and training; we are also responsible for HR, policies, benefits, and payroll. Our Payroll team plays a vital role in the company, ensuring that employees are paid the right amount at the right time by accurately processing and recording pay data. We are currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our team.


As a Payroll Coordinator, you will work with a wide variety of data and reports, and interact with employees across the company. We process payroll for all employees in the US and in 14 international countries. You’ll be responsible for collecting, calculating, and entering an assortment of payroll information, including time corrections, earnings and deductions, tax information, and to help our team complete biweekly payroll processing. Accurate and timely completion of these tasks is essential, and you must maintain strict confidentiality of all information associated with Daktronics responsibilities.


This position will challenge you to solve problems and work through unique situations on a daily basis, following legal guidelines and Daktronics philosophies to assist employees and supervisors with questions and escalate requests as needed. You will develop a strong understanding of the overall company structure and the different groups in the Personnel department in order to provide support to all areas. Your ability to stay organized, manage multiple and changing priorities, and work cheerfully and effectively with many interruptions will be critical to your success.


We seek a candidate with strong self-motivation who can work both as a team player and independently with little supervision. The ideal candidate will be proficient with computers, especially in Microsoft Office; have the capability to learn new programs quickly; and possess a range of other skills, including excellent communication, organizational, and planning abilities.




  • A bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in accounting, business, or office administration is preferred.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed to support functions of the team and department.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
